This is a fun race that is an annual event, put on by the Nevada Yacht Club, alot of Hobie sailors come, it's the end of the season for Hobies. It's good for beginers that want to practice racing, and after 2 days, awards.....Skippers meeting will be at the Marina, Hobies will set up on the PWC Beach! See More

- Thanks for the welcome! I don't yet have a Hobie yet, but I hope to get a Wave here soon to mess around on our little lake (Comins Lake) we have near town. I considered a 16 for a bit, but after talking with folks on the Hobiecat.com forum, I settled on the Wave (username is Pokey on those forums.) Once I get geared up, for sure I will head that direction for some sailing with everyone!

- Dave I would love to and unfortunately events have transpired to prevent me from attending (once again). On a good note though I managed to get my boat to Vegas but am currently working with the previous owner to procure a title for the trailer so I can get it plated and then legally move it. I don't know how late in the season people go out (I'm from New England and can handle pretty much any cold wx in Nevada) but the next time my weekend falls on an actual weekend I will be there if anyone else is going out.

- Hey Dave (hope you go by Dave.) I do have a boat. Just bought a H20 off of a guy (Bob Davison...the boat has Fleet 51 stickers already so I guess he used to live in Vegas although I bought it in Nebraska of all places) although it is currently with my wife in the Denver area. Looking to get it back to the valley in a few months or less although I have limited experience so I am completely up for some crewing before the boat gets here so I can figure out how the whole setup goes and the ins and outs of sailing a Hobie (very limited experience but figured...perhaps incorrectly...that now that I have a boat I will have to learn, which I'm excited to to do.) Unfortunatly I will be working nights during the night sail but just let me know the next time you'll be out and if your up for helping a new guy I'll be sure to be there. Matt...also don't think that we've met before but I am in the military so it completely possible.
